Yoga-lovers, rejoice!
If subaquatic yoga sessions are your thing, we have good news for you. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo has brought back its “underwater” yoga classes for a second season.
Led by expert Yogis from Downtown Dubai’s Piloga studio, the sessions – set in Dubai Aquarium’s underwater tunnel – shift focus every week.
The first session encouraged healing with sound in a slow hatha flow class, utilising a singing bowl and many mediation techniques including pranayama (control of the breath) and movement to evoke spontaneous healing.
The second session explored the significance of touch and working as a couple, as you stretch your way to a clearer mind in the Partner Up session.
Saturday March 3 brings a fun vinyasa flow session, which will challenge your balance by taking vision out of the equation, allowing for a deeper appreciation of your surroundings in the Discovering your Sight session.
Sense of Smell, taking place on Saturday March 10, will be the final class – and you’ll be smelling some rather fragrant scents during a vinyasa session to help achieve a deeper state of meditation, relaxation and clarity.
Participants will leave class with plenty of goodies including yoga class vouchers, snack bars, and more. There will also be some giveaways where winners stand a chance of grabbing some health-tastic prizes.
Dhs125 per person. Sat Mar 3 and Sat Mar 10, 8am-9am. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, Ground & Level 2, The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai (04 456 4499).
