Mickey Mouse arrives in Dubai Miracle Garden

Dubai Miracle Garden is full of displays that are super-fun for kids and make our Instagram feeds that bit more exciting.

On the occasion of the upcoming 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, Dubai Miracle Garden has just inaugurated a sculpture of the ever-popular cartoon character.

The display is 18-metres high and weighs almost 35 tonnes. This is Disney’s first character display in the Middle East, earning Dubai Miracle Garden yet another Guinness World Record for the Tallest Topiary Sculpture.

“Mickey Mouse is one of the world’s most iconic and beloved characters, and we’re proud to be able to celebrate such a unique touch point at Dubai Miracle Garden,” says Chafic Najia, senior vice president and general manager of The Walt Disney Company Ltd.

The sculpture features almost 100,000 plants and flowers including White Petunia, Red Petunia, Yellow Viola, and Green Alternanthera. It’s supported by a seven-tonne steel structure with a concrete foundation of 50 tonnes of reinforced concrete.

You’ll be able to enjoy Disney’s most iconic character in a stunning floral display from now until mid-May, with further Disney characters planned for November 2018 when Dubai Miracle Garden re-opens for the winter season.

Other Dubai Miracle Garden Guinness World Records include the “Largest Vertical Garden in the World” and “Largest Floral Installation”.

Dubai Miracle Garden is the world’s largest natural flower garden. Aren’t we lucky we can visit such a beautiful site?
