Hotseat: Nigel Cropley Principal & CEO

Where did you go to school?
I went to many different schools in the UK as my father relocated several times.

What was your favourite subject?
If I had to choose one, it would be design and technology.

What’s your most memorable school moment?
I think it’s when a group of us finally finished our design and technology karts project. We were thrilled with our achievement.

Did you ever get sent to the naughty corner and why?
I was actually very well-behaved, but I did get sent to the headmaster for repeatedly not wearing my tie.

Who was your favourite teacher and why?
Mr Cooper, who was my Year 6 Primary School teacher. He was very young and had the ability to make all subjects enjoyable, but most importantly, he genuinely cared about his students.
