Chocolate fondant at Butcha Steakhouse & Grill
Eat rich chocolate fondant in a steakhouse? Yes you can, and it’s fantastic. Butcha’s cake has a soft sponge exterior filled with gooey, lava-like, melted chocolate, and is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The perfect sweet ending to a delectable meal.

Chocolate fondant at The Chef’s Palette
This one comes from Michelin star chef-trained Romain Van Durmen, who teaches diners how to cook this super-indulgent dessert in classes at his cooking studio, The Chef’s Palette. It’s a delicious pudding with a molten chocolate centre. Best served with ice cream.

Cocoa crust Beef tenderloin at Cocoa Kitchen
You might think chocolate is only good for dessert, but it’s so much more than an after-dinner treat. This chocolate-themed restaurant has decided to add it to steak, and the result is the cocoa crust beef tenderloin. The dish is complemented by ingredients including rosemary, garlic, thyme and carrots and comes with 30 grams of Cuban origin 75 percent dark chocolate, 50 grams of 35 percent white chocolate and 30 grams of cocoa nibs. Lush!

Molten chocolate sphere at The Exchange Grill
This makes for an impressive dessert. A globe of golden chocolate acts as a nest encasing a soft flour, butter and sugar streusel cacao, surrounded by praline feuilletine – crispy, thin shards of sugar. A hot cinnamon and chocolate sauce is poured on top to melt the sphere, and the ingredients all blend together to reveal something even tastier. It’s a surprise!

Morelli’s Bacio, Bella Nutella, and La Dolce Vita at Morelli’s Gelato
Chocolate is the best way to complement a good frozen treat. What about three of them? Morelli’s Bacio is made of chocolate, hazelnut, and soft vanilla gelato, and is served with a chocolate truffle. Or go for the Bella Nutella – soft vanilla, Nutella and banana gelato, served with the fresh fruit and a sprinkling of Italian Piemonte hazelnuts. And then there’s La Dolce Vita. Palace Cake at Le Café
The chefs at Le Café claim that this one is the most decadent chocolate cake in Abu Dhabi. It’s prepared with 70 percent cacao and starts with chocolate praline on the bottom, followed by a layer of chocolate biscuit, and then mousse and jelly. It’s topped with a rich – yep, you guessed it – chocolate glaze. Flakes of 24-karat gold and chocolate curlicues are placed on top as garnish. Well, you are in the Palace, after all…

Petit Gateur au Chocolat (Chocolate Nutella Cake) at Maison de Juliette
A dish that’s part of Maison de Juliette’s extensive kids’ menu, the Petit Gateur au Chocolat is a rich chocolate cake made with Nutella and comes with mini marshmallows scattered on the side. It’s perfect for the little ones (and yes, you too).

There are two desserts at Seafire that we’ve got our eye on – and they doesn’t get much better than these. The rocky road chocolate freak shake is the ultimate in indulgence, and then there’s the fondant, filled with the sweet stuff in molten form, with toasted marshmallow, and vanilla ice cream on the side. What’s not to love?

White chocolate parfait at Bread Street Kitchen
