Burj Khalifa counts down to Avengers

Tallest building in the world to light up for Marvel release

The countdown for Avengers: Infinity War has begun, and it all starts with a fantastic show at the Burj Khalifa.

After ten years in the making, the Marvel movie will debut in UAE cinemas from Thursday April 26, and you can see the Burj Khalifa light up in preparation.

The projections, which will take place from Thursday April 26 at 7.50pm and continue throughout the week, are super Insta-worthy.

Share your photos and videos of the projections with the hashtag #InfinityWarwithEmaar to be in with a chance of winning tickets to see the movie at Reel Cinemas, The Dubai Mall.

Avengers: Infinity Wars is due to span the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, bringing to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time.

The Avengers and their superhero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

Starring some of the biggest actors including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and more, it’s set to be Marvel’s biggest hit to date.

We’ve got our capes on and will see you at the Burj Khalifa before we book our tickets. As the heroes describe themselves: “The Avengers. It's what we call ourselves. Sorta like a team. Earth's Mightiest Heroes type thing.”
