Free ice cream all summer at Dubai International Airport

Emirates to hand out two million treats

Food

Thought your summer holidays couldn’t get any better? Think again. You can now enjoy free ice cream (that’s right, free ice cream) before your vacation even begins.

As the temperature rises, you can cool down with five different flavours in Dubai International Airport.

Emirates is giving away two million Emperor ice creams from multiple carts dotted around Terminal 3’s Departures and transit areas.

Choose from either vanilla and date, chocolate and Arabic coffee ice cream or mango and lemon sorbet.

It’s all made in-house at the Emirates Flight Catering site, just a stone’s throw away from the airport.

They will be served during peak departure times every day – between midnight and 3am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm and 6pm and 9pm.

It’s the same delicious ice cream that’s found in all seven Emirates DXB lounges, and served in premium classes on selected flights to Europe and the UK.

You may just start willing on a delay for your flight just so you can stay in the airport, and who could blame you?

It is just the latest summer surprise rolled out by Emirates, which was recently named as one of the cheapest airlines in the world according to research by Rome2Rio.

It’s also launched cut-price flights to the Philippines, with flights to Manila starting at Dhs2,365 from June to August, with the deal available to book until Sunday June 24.

Fares to Clark are priced from Dhs2,225, while tickets to Cebu are available from Dhs2,425.
Free. Jun 15 to Aug 31. Terminal 3 Departures and transit, Dubai International Airport, www.emirates.com.
