The Roost Rotisserie review
A quirky and welcoming roast chicken spot
Tucked away along Al Wasl Road, you’ll find a restaurant with a quirky little chicken statue right outside its doors, welcoming customers in. It’s a fun touch, and definitely sets the tone for the rest of this eatery.
With its sleek modern design and funky chickens placed throughout, the venue is comfy, fun and filled with amusing drawings and touches for the little ones.
It’s a little hard to find – which makes for a lack of footfall – but when you do, you’ll find a warm greeting and fast service.
While there aren’t too many dishes to choose from, if you’re here to eat roasted poultry, you won’t need other options.
As for the “Little Roosters” , the menu offers a chicken and beef burger option, a quarter of a chicken and a veggie option.
The chicken is a delight. The crispy skin paired with the juicy and steaming meat on the inside is great to munch on.
The half-serving of it is enough to stuff one person, and the home-made barbecue sauce is delicious, while the Parmesan and truffle fries are moreish.
The burger fares less well, being too greasy, while the jammy dodger kurtos is difficult to dig into, and has an over-abundance of strawberry sauce.
Chicken aside, tweaks to the rest of its dishes will put this more on family’s radars.
Open Thu-Sat noon-midnight; Sun-Wed noon-10pm. Unlicensed. Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah (800 76678).
The bottom line
Make a beeline for the roast chicken.
