UAE app Play:Date, a social application for kids aged 12 and up which helps parents to set up playdates, is now available on Google Play.

Already available on iOS, parents have been using the simple platform to help find new friends for their little ones based on common interests.

Parents are also using the app to meet other mums and dads, expanding their network and building relationships and communities while their kids share stories and create memories.

Play:Date is set up in a way where parents are at the centre of the experience, ensuring safety for kids who use the application.

"After launching on iOS and being able to see proof of concept, our next goal was to ensure we cater to users fueling the rapid growth of the Android market," says Shamim Kassibawi, founder of Play:Date.

"Earlier, kids were limited to school/daycare, the park or family dinners to make new friends, but with Play:Date the world is now their playground,” adds Kassibawi.

Created by Big Boy Apps, the application is used internationally, with 1000+ families now signed up from the UAE, US, Australia, New Zealand, India and Saudi Arabia.
