We all know traipsing around the mall can build up quite the appetite, but there’s now a new place to rest those weary feet and refuel.
Homegrown eatery Café Bateel has a brand-new outpost at Mall of the Emirates, and Time Out Dubai has been down to check it out.
The café joins the Bateel Boutique, which opened last April on the ground floor of the mall. It’s set right next door to H&M, should you be in the mood for some high street fashion, too.
The new outlet has a “succinct menu” offering up a selection of Café Bateel’s “premium gourmet dishes”, which the team says are “perfect for a quick, flavourful and satisfying” meal. So if you’re flagging but after something more substantial than a cake or ice cream, you know where to head.
Signature dishes on menu include salads, sandwiches and light dishes –including avocado on toast and summery green veg pasta. And, of course, plenty of treats.
The Mall of the Emirates branch of the café boasts chic interiors and plenty of space. Décor is all greens, greys and browns. It’s the first new opening of the café this year, and there are now 31 cafés and 41 boutiques worldwide.
Now you know where to head when you need a quick and healthy bite.
Open daily 8am-midnight. Mall of the Emirates, Al Barsha, www.bateel.com (04 347 5165).
