What’s the area like?
Dubai Investment Park is a giant residential/business development still in the making, but Green Community, which sits within it, has been open for some time and has a lived-in, attractive feel. Villas and flats are available, and there are plenty of green spaces.

Amenities
The Green Community Centre has a shopping mall and a host of restaurants and cafés around a lake. These still haven’t received an alcohol licence, although you can get a drink at Courtyard Marriot.

Best for
Families who like to be self-contained.

Pros
It’s like living in a slice of suburbia, plus you can pick up studios and one-bed apartments for similar prices as those in International City – a considerably less agreeable development.

Cons
The roundabout outside DIP is a nightmare – it can take an hour to get to Mall of the Emirates.
