Available for Apple Watch, travellers get access to on-demand translations, virtually anywhere in the world.

By speaking directly into the watch, or selecting from a range of pre-loaded common phrases, travellers are able to translate from English into 12 different languages in real-time (Castilian Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Thai).

Translations will appear instantly on the screen of the device in the chosen language, giving users the chance to read the word or phrase, with the help of phonetic spelling. Formal, casual and slang settings will also be available meaning we could have fun for hours on this.

Who else things doing laundry can be super boring? One thing’s for sure though, it’s absolutely necessary so there’s no getting out of it. At least now, you don’t even have to make a phone call to get it all done, just a few clicks and you’re away. ‘Wash+ laundry and dry cleaning’ is an easy way to request pickup and delivery of your dry cleaning in Dubai. It provides the status of your order every step of the way and can follow any special instructions.

At first the new app is operating in Emirates Living, Jebel Ali Gardens, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Palm Jumeirah, Tecom, The Discovery Gardens, The Greens and the Views. They also offer customers promotions and discounts for sharing the app with friends.

Washplus also has a non-profit, charity effort called Give Love. Give Charity, where consumers can fill a donation bag with clothes to be delivered to charity for free.

With this app Mobile Request will be available to the 50 million members of Marriott Rewards, the company’s loyalty program. Members who have upcoming reservations will be able to instantly communicate with their hotel in two ways. The ‘Anything Else?’ feature offers guests two-way chat functionality to have conversations in real time with the hosts at Marriott Hotels who can fulfill and confirm their requests instantly. It also offers a drop-down menu with the most requested services and amenities, such as extra towels and pillows.

Health and fitness app Styck
Sometimes even the die-hard fitness fanatics need a bit of a nudge to get up and go for that 5am cycle. Alex Light and his business partner Ben Walton have created an iPhone app that not only measures how much you move, but more movement means more prizes – the more you step, the more likely you are to be in with a chance of claiming free hotel stays or luxury car rentals. The creators hope that incentivising physical movement it will not only benefit an individual’s health, but the nation as a whole. The app launched at the beginning of March.

Exclusive Tables
Banish the days of unanswered calls to guest list phone lines and irritating miscommunications. New app Exclusive Tables hopes the revolutionise the UAE’s clubbing scene with the launch of a VIP table booking service. The app stores upcoming, past and cancelled bookings, confi rmation passes and emails, and allows users to share plans with friends. By summer, an upgrade will also allow users to pay and split the bill, plus earn points.

We don’t know about you but deciding what to have for lunch is pretty much the best part of our day. And if you’re a foodie like us you’ll never get bored of browsing through this app which allows you to choose a meal delivery service with options of location or cuisine type.

Reel cinemas
We love going to the movies but we don’t love standing in queues to buy tickets, snacks or any other comforting extras. So make the process quick and easy by flicking through previews, and seating option all in one place. No more boring waiting in lines!

It is the biggest shopping centre in the world so a little help is highly appreciated when planning some much-deserved retail therapy. This app allows shoppers to plan their trip before they arrive, detailing the stores and their current offers. If you’re already at the mall, the app is able to help out with parking too meaning there’s more time to have fun inside.

Whether you live in the area or are simply hoping to make a trip, this app has everything you could possibly desire in terms of where to eat, shop, stay, live or even entertain yourself with a free event. You won’t have to waste time trying to find a previous discovery either thanks to the favourites list you can add to and amend.

Think five is too young to start learning computer code? Think again with this education app, which teaches children the basics of programming. Challenges and rewards keep children entertained, with a friendly turtle guiding kids step by step to the basic concepts of programming.
