Dragons are coming to dubai
Legoland Dubai is starting to take shape, having installed its first major attraction – the enormous, winding The Dragon roller coaster. Reaching heights of up to 16 metres and speeds of 60kph, the ride will play a key part in the park, due to open in October 2016.

Emirates is having a good week
Particularly its PR team. Not only has the airline’s new Jennifer Aniston ad been a huge hit, but its funding of the quarantine and care of a tiny kitten (now named Cairo) that stowed away from Egypt to the UK has earned it serious kudos from animal lovers.

Cool new coins have been issued
To commemorate the 20th season of Global Village, which re-opens this November, the UAE Central Bank has issued limited-edition coins featuring the local shopping attraction’s logo.

Dewa’s website is surprisingly good
If you can sign in, which isn’t always as straightforward as it seems. Nevertheless, once you’re through, there’s a whole heap of admin you can clear up in just a few minutes, minus a long drive, longer queue, and a great deal of extra paperwork. Give it a go.

Du has the iphone 6s and 6s Plus
Dubai telecommunications firm du is now selling the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in the UAE. Packages include no upfront fees, 11GB of data and 300 minutes for Dhs300 per month.
