Brazil defeat England in Doha

Single goal from Nilmar gives South Americans victory in Qatar

A header by Brazil's Nilmar was enough to secure victory for the South American side against England in Qatar .

Nilmar's headed winner from an Elano's pass after 47 minutes was no more than Brazil deserved after outplaying a reshaped England outfit missing a number of players.

Brazil's victory margin could have been greater, but Luis Fabiano missed a penalty after England keeper Ben Foster fouled Nilmar.
Lucio also struck the post, while James Milner volleyed England's best chance over the crossbar in the second half.

England's attacking forays were rare and following the goal, Brazil took total control in the second half.
