Eid Dubai

November 27 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha

Eid is just around the corner and for most of us this means a few days off work to spend with friends and family.

The first official day of Eid will most likely be Friday November 27.

This is because Wednesday is the first day of Dhu Al Hijja. The 9th day of Dhu Al Hijja is the day of Arafat, which falls this year on Thursday, November 26. Accordingly, Friday, November 27 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha.

This means that most people working for private companies should get either Thursday, Sunday or Monday, or maybe all three days off work.

The Government has also been told to pay its employees early on Sunday November 22 rather than the last day of the month, which falls within Eid.
