Haiti disaster fundraiser at the IV

We all like to party. Thursday January 28 is the time to do it for a good cause…

You can't escape what's been going on in Haiti over the last couple of weeks.

While we've been sitting pretty in Dubai, hundreds of thousands of peoples lives have been turned to rubble.

But now's not the time for thinking, it's the time to do something about it.

Thursday January 28 is the day to do it.

For Dhs30 per person, you can do your bit and have a night out in one go, courtesy of the Irish Village.

Local bands will provide the music and you, yes, you, will provide the party atmosphere.

Your ticket gets you into the party as well as one free drink, courtesy of the lovely people at A&E.

And they're not the only local company doing their bit. Gulf Technical Printing Press are supplying tickets while Earnest Godfrey of Artes is sponsoring the event by supplying tens of thousands of dirhams of stage, sound and lighting. Transguard have also kindly supplied the security for the evening on behalf of the Emirates Group.

And, lest we forget, Dave Cattanach of the Aviation Club, is coordinating the whole show. All you have to do is be there.

Doors open at 6pm and we've been promised more entertainment to add to the music line-up.
