All stations on the Red Line of Dubai Metro will not be fully operational until October, more than a year later than originally planned, it was reported on Tuesday.
Seven stations will open on April 30, with the remaining 11 Red Line stations to start operations by October, a Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official said.
The RTA has moved the opening date of seven Metro stations by five days to April 30, RTA spokesman Peyman Parham told UAE daily Emirates Business.
New trains are currently being tested to launch at the same time as the new stations open at the end of the month, he told the paper.
The remaining 11 stations that complete the Red Line will start functioning by October, he added.
Stations scheduled to open at the end of this month are Emirates Station, Airport Terminal 1 Station, GGICO Station, Al Karama Station, World Trade Center Station, Marina Station and Ibn Battuta Station.
