The Dubai Municipality announces there will be 6,000 free meals during Ramadan

Dubai Municipality has announced that thousands of its construction worker employees are to receive free iftars during the Holy Month. The meals are supplied by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with charitable organisation the Red Crescent. Accommodations in the Al Qusais, Al Aweer and Al Quoz areas will receive the meals.

Mosques in the city will also be serving up free iftars to Muslims, as is the tradition.
