Three new luxury bus stations planned

Plans set for Satwa, Karama and Al Quoz

Designs for three new ‘high-end’ Dubai bus stations have been released, set for completion by the end of 2011 or the beginning of 2012. The new sites will include office spaces, shops, eateries, play areas and parking lots and will be air-conditioned with other modern amenities too.

The Satwa station currently serves approximately 40,000 passengers daily, and after the overhaul its capacity is expected to ‘increase manifold.’ The Karama and Al Quoz bus stations are expected to serve up to 10,000 per day.
