Youngsters with Down’s Syndrome given chance to surf

Children with special needs to learn how to ride the waves

Youngsters who suffer from Down’s Syndrome will be given the chance to learn how to surf on Saturday, April 30.

Surf Dubai will be running a surfing and standup paddle-boarding session with Team Scheme, for 15 youngsters aged 12 to 25.

A Surf Dubai spokesman said: “Studies have shown surfing to have very beneficial and therapeutic effects on children with special needs.”
