See great local art: Local gallery Traffic continues to prove its strength with its latest two exhibitions. Bilal Aquil presents a reappropriation of the Persian miniature, while locally based artist Ubik’s latest collection is characteristically affronting.

Visit the new SensAsia Express: Dubai’s top day spa has just opened an express branch in Mall of the Emirates, where you can pop in for bite-sized treatments for less than Dhs200. The perfect antidote if you’ve been on your feet all day, trawling the shops.

Last chance for asparagus specials: Until May 31, sample white, purple, green and wild asparagus as part of Cavalli Club’s ongoing seasonal menu. While you’re there, check out the club’s huge chandeliers – the blingiest in Dubai.
