The latest chapter in the Mission Impossible series, Ghost Protocol, is due out in December - but a teaser trailer, dubbed in French and filmed on a handicam has found its way on to the internet.

Cruise was in Dubai last October and November and was spotted dangling from the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building as action scenes for the movie were filmed. The Burj Khalifa features prominently in the latter half of the teaser.

After much speculation, coach Ivan Hasek has resigned as chairman of the Czech Football Association and pledged his allegiance to Al Ahli Club where he won the league back in 2009.

CeskeNoviny.cz confirmed that the 47-year-old Hasek had announced his resignation at the end of the Czech Football Association's annual general meeting in Prague on Sunday. Hours later the Al Ahli website confirmed the coach's rejoining.

More than 30 per cent of travellers in the UAE believe that airlines in the region should charge overweight passengers more because of their size.

A poll carried out by Emirates 24/7 found that 32 per cent of people believe airlines should charge a "fat tax."

Dubai Police and Saudi Arabia's drug-enforcement agency may join forces to curb the narcotics trade by paying Afghan farmers to stop growing opium poppies.

Officials have already met Afghan authorities to discuss setting up the programme, which Dubai's police chief would like to expand to other parts of Asia if it is successful.
