Donate clothes to a good cause: It’s time to donate everyday items such as clothing, books, reading glasses and mobile phones to help those less fortunate. Collections boxes can be found in Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre and, at the end of the month-long campaign, all collected items will be distributed by the Red Crescent.
Buy affordable local artwork: Every year, members of the Dubai International Art Centre put on a Ramadan show of their varied works. Not only is it a good chance to see local talent, it’s also a great place to buy very affordable art and start your own collection.

Take the monkeys to Modhesh World: Open throughout Ramadan, you can expect all the usual entertaining activities at this spacious, air-conditioned indoor fun park located at Dubai Airport Expo. Although the admission cost is low, you do pay for all the individual rides, which include log flumes, mini roller coasters, dodgems, train rides, and the ubiquitous ginormous jungle gym and soft play area. So, brace yourselves for a fairly pricey session – especially if you have more than one child.
