Humperdinck to perform his greatest hits at Madinat concert

Legendary singer Engelbert Humperdinck will make his Dubai debut in March.

The 75-year-old singer, who has sold more than 150 million records, will perform at the Johara Ballroom in the Madinat Jumeirah on March 7.

Born Arnold Dorsey in Madras, India, and raised in Leicester, England, from the age of 10, Humperdinck recorded his first hit ‘Release Me’ in 1967, which he followed with a string of smashes in both the UK and the US through the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Humperdinck has experienced a recent revival, In the striking a chord with a younger generation after appearances on several MTV programs, including two appearances on MTV Beach House, Chilling with the Weaze and Oddville.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost Dhs500 for gold seating, Dhs750 for platinum seating or Dhs1,300 for VIP, including a welcome drink.
