Fairmont Dubai is pretty in pink

Hotel’s dramatic redecoration marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

Have you noticed the Fairmont Dubai recently? It’s turned pink. The familiar hotel’s dramatic – if temporary – redecoration is one of a number of events taking place across Dubai to mark worldwide Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which lasts throughout October. Elsewhere, the Burj Al Arab is auctioning a pink, 24-carat gold iPad to raise money for breast cancer charities, with a buyer set to be announced on Thursday October 4 following an online bidding war. The Fairmont itself will be bathed in pink as part of the Global Landmarks Illumination Initiative. Take a look next time you’re on Sheikh Zayed Road.
