Bow Wow has been forced to pull out of tonight’s Dubai Caribbean Carnival due to complications arising from Superstorm Sandy.

However organisers have confirmed the show will go on with fellow headliners Jason Derülo and Sean Kingston still to perform at the event, taking place at Burj Park tonight (Thursday November 1).

The US rapper was forced to cancel as all flights from New York have been grounded due to the extreme weather conditions which have rocked America’s East Coast this week.

Bow Wow is the second international star who has cancelled a planned show in Dubai tonight, with US soul singer US Barbara Tucker forced to pull out of a set at Bliss Lounge.

Zoha Beig, CEO of 321 Events, who are behind the carnival, said: ‘It is very unfortunate that Bow Wow is unable to perform today.

‘Hurricane Sandy has devastated many cities on the East Coast and our well wishes go out to the people who have suffered.

‘I am excited for the turn out for tonight’s concert. We have been planning this for a long time and are looking forward to the success of the first ever Dubai Caribbean Carnival.’
