Rock legends Deep Purple are to headline next year’s Dubai International Jazz Festival.

The British band is the first of four headliners to be announced at next year’s event, which will take place from February 14 to February 22.

Organisers have confirmed the 11th annual event will again take place at Festival Park in Dubai Festival City. Emirates Airline has been announced as the new principle sponsor of the festival.

Formed in 1968, Deep Purple have sold more than 100 million albums. They are best-known for the song ‘Smoke on the Water’.
