This week the Dubai Metro is set to welcome some rather conspicuous-looking guests: a pair of penguins. But before you start getting riled up about the animal rights implications of plonking two Antarctic birds on the (admittedly well air-conditioned) red line, it’s actually a couple of humans dressed as penguins – which is more funny and less tragic than the alternative. Abe and Sarah, as the two hapless costumed crusaders are apparently dubbed, will be riding around the city, visiting famous landmarks and dishing out 20-percent-off vouchers for guests to visit the real penguins currently housed in Ski Dubai at Mall of the Emirates. Catch them somewhere on the metro between 3pm and 6pm on Friday November 30.
