New laws to ban lighting up in front of under-12s in cars

The Ministry of Health has announced new anti-smoking legislation. The resolution, which was passed on July 21, will ban adults from smoking in cars if there are children under the age of 12 present. Other rules which were passed include a ban on tobacco advertising, larger warnings on cigarette packaging and a rule that shisha cafés must be at least 150 meters away from residential areas. The new laws will come into affect six months after July 21.
