As anyone who works in Media City will tell you, it’s an area that’s not exactly overflowing with options for a post-work drink.

Thankfully there’s some help at hand for this pressing problem, with a brand new venue to open in coming weeks.

Sitting on the 43rd floor of the Media One Hotel, with views out to the Palm and beyond, we’re told that Q43 will mix an up-tempo lounge bar with a 90-seater restaurant.

If that all sounds a bit classy (or pricey) for your post-work Thursday bevy, you’ll be pleased to hear the bar’s managers have pledged to keep prices fair. ‘How great it will be to have a place that looks like a million dollars without being charged it,’ boasts spokesman Spencer Hartwell.

More details? The restaurant will deal in cuisine from across the world, while the music policy looks to be in the retro arena. The bar will also boast a loyalty card for repeated visitors.

With an opening date pencilled in for mid-October, we’re looking forward to seeing if this joint lives up the promise.
