Last orders at The Wharf

Madinat pub shutting to make way for new Mexican bar-restaurant

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

Popular Brit-themed watering hole The Wharf is set to shut before the end of the month, according to an inside source.

But don’t fear, as we’ve heard the venue will be revamped before the year is out to make way for a new Mexican hotspot, mixing casual dining with a bar specialising in the nation’s traditional short drinks.

It’s seems there’s a flair for all things Mexican at the moment, with the recent launch of Ocacti in Dubai Marina and the new branch of Cactus Cantina in Wafi.

Elsewhere over in Souk Al Bahar fresh arrivals Fuego and Café Habana have both launched new Friday brunch packages.

In the meantime there’s just days to soak up the charms of The Wharf, which is expected to serve last orders for good on Friday October 25.

The new Mexican venue, which is yet to be named, is hoped to welcome its first customers before Christmas.
