Santana to close Dubai Jazz Festival

Latin-infused rockers will bring nine-day event to a close

Classic rock legends Santana will close next year’s Dubai International Jazz Festival.

Led by eponymous Latin-infused six string whizz Carlos Santana, the band will headline the final night of this year’s nine-day run of gigs, taking to the stage at Dubai Festival City on Friday February 21.

The band have hits spanning four decades, most notably including 1970’s quixotic ‘Black Magic Woman’ and 1999’s radio hit ‘Smooth’.

Other headline performers confirmed for the event are:

February 13, 2014: Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington, plus another act to be announced soon.

February 14, 2014: Olly Murs & The Wanted

February 20, 2014: Jamie Cullum & Colbie Caillat

February 21, 2014: Santana, plus another act to be announced soon.
