Ozzy Osbourne and his band of merry men will be bringing their brand of earth-shaking hard rock the UAE.
The genre defining British metal band will perform at du Arena, Yas Island, on Thursday May 29, promoters Flash have confirmed.
The news shouldn’t come as a great surprise to fans, after the date was circulated by US websites more than a fortnight ago.
On November 27 @TimeOutDubai tweeted: ‘It's been reported that metal behemoths Black Sabbath will play Abu Dhabi on May 29. Any excited metalheads out there?! #BlackSabbath’.
Originally formed in Birmingham in 1968, Sabbath have enjoyed something of a career renaissance of late, this year releasing their first studio album in 35 years, 13 – which has topped sales charts in 13 countries.
The Abu Dhabi gig falls towards the end of an epic world tour which kicked off in Helsinki, Finland, last month and will take in cities in North and South America, Australia, Asia and Europe.
