See a kite show extravaganza: The International Kite Fiesta kicks off today, but while you’re there spend Dhs250 in any of the stores at Dubai Outlet Mall and you’ll be entered into a draw to win a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014.

Bang a drum out in the desert: Join the Dubai Drums group for a night of drumming on the dunes under a full moon. A barbecue and refreshments will be provided and if you don’t have a drum, you’ll be given one.

Head to a retro music festival: Boney M, Dr Alban, Vengaboys, N-Trance and Snap! are all performing live at MiXTAPE Rewind Festival. Expect an extra special night for lovers of old-school pop hits and a slew of classics such as ‘It’s My life’ and ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’.

Check out deep grooves at Dusk: UK hip-hop veteran Rodney P will be spinning his dub-heavy beats joined by sound system heavyweight DJ Shepdog for a night of hip-hop, funk, soul, breaks and Afrobeat.
