If you’ve always wanted the world’s top designer brands on your doorstep – and not an inch further – you might want to snap up one of the new residences in Boulevard Point, Downtown Dubai. The luxury Emaar (www.emaar.com) project is set to comprise a 63-storey residential tower located on top of The Dubai Mall extension and offers residents direct access to the mega shopping mall via a bridge link.
Meanwhile, Ikea (www.ikea.ae) has finally introduced the Ikea Family card loyalty programme to its UAE stores after a popular response from customers in Europe. The card is free and available to all customers at the self-serve kiosks within the Dubai Festival City Mall store. As well as free coffee and tea from Sunday to Thursday, shoppers get discounts on the Ikea Family range all year, plus extended services, such as a 60-day refund and exchange policy instead of the standard 30 days.
Lastly, Barbie just got a whole lot more expensive. Two international big name brands have teamed up to produce the Herve Leger for Max Azria limited-edition Barbie. Draped in a bandage dress, black gladiator boots and grasping a clutch, the doll comes with a second outfit change and obligatory duck face pout.
