There seems to be plenty going on in the world of nail pampering in Dubai at the moment. Not one to shy away from accolades, last week, the city snatched yet another Guinness World Record for the most nails filed and varnished in eight hours. Local nail salon Beauty Connection (04 321 3553) teamed up with KOKO Nail for the challenge. The mass mani session got underway on Valentine’s Day at The Dubai Mall Star Atrium, where over 100 manicurists filed more than 50,000 fingernails. In order to qualify, the women had to receive a file, a base coat, two coats of varnish and a top coat and men, a file and a buff.
Meanwhile, in other nail news, local salon The Nail Spa (600544001) is offering its customers limited edition nail art designs inspired by the Dubai World Cup, which takes place in March. The designs include black stallions, gold horse shoes and black and white tips. They’ll cost you Dhs15 per nail. Prior booking is required. Been thinking about a career change?
