New salons in Emirates Hills and the Palm

Plus free yoga for all in this week's wellness round-up

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

This week: a new beauty salon opens in Emirates Hills, another pops up on the Palm and free yoga classes for all.

Suburban folk in need of some pampering no longer need to stray far from home to get their nails seen to, with the opening of The Nail Spa (600 544 001) in The Lakes in Emirates Living. Located at the The Lakes Club, the outlet, pictured, is set up to accommodate more than 150 customers per day, with ten mani-pedi stations, and its new menu offers services including the ‘facial in a flash’, hot and cold hydrotherapy and anti-ageing hand and feet treatments.

Meanwhile, on opposite yet equally luxurious sides of the city, a new beauty salon offering hair, nail and make-up services has opened in Sofitel the Palm on Palm Jumeirah. Raffine Beauty Salon (04 455 6636) offers an extensive range of services including hair extensions, keratin treatments, waxing, make-up and 90-minute gelish mani-pedis that are on the pricier side. The salon often partners with the hotel’s in-house So Spa to provide special occasion packages, such as one that is running until March 28 and includes a facial, massage, blow-dry and make-up for Dhs960.

Lastly, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel (04 230 8560) is holding a free full moon yoga session in Nomad Gardens next month on April 15. The initiative is part of UAE Green Festival and the 90-minute class will run from 7pm-8.30pm. Bookings are essential.
