The ominous sounding Nightmare, Nervecell and Loudblast will headline the Dubai Rock Fest 2014.

After a heavier-than-healthy festival at Dubai World Trade last year headlined by Swedish guitar master Yngwie Malmsteen, the one-day event is moving on to Al Nasr Leisureland.

On Friday May 23 a total of five scary-sounding bands will perform in Domeland arena.

Topping the bill is a return visit from French traditionalists Nightmare, veterans of the scene from 1979 who thrilled fans at the 2013 event.

Also from France are innovators Loudblast, while Demonic Resurrection, winners of Metal Hammer's Golden award, will visit from India.

Meanwhile two UAE acts will share the stage. Nervcecell are known as one of the region’s best-selling bands ever having opened for the likes of Metallica, with fellow UAE rockers Ascendant, best known for opening for Europe last year, also on the bill.
