This week: we spy a new weight-loss product on the market and sign-up for courses in yoga teaching and dance.
Sweden’s top brand of weight loss shakes Nutridiet (www.nutridiet.ae; 04 431 6006 ) is now available in Dubai for the first time at health and wellness retailers including Holland & Barrett, Bin Sina and Boots. The brand is among the most clinically proven weight-loss and weight maintenance products in the world and the replacement shakes are available in three different flavours: strawberry, chocolate and forest fruit. They promise to help reduce hunger cravings, while ensuring that muscle mass is retained during weight loss.
Meanwhile, if you’d like to take your yoga practice one step further and become certified, sign up for a yoga teacher training course at The Change Initiative (www.yogalatesblissindubai.com). Kicking off on April 25, the 100-hour, two-week yin yoga course focuses on freeing up the tight connective tissue that forms around muscles and joints as you age. Instructors Jade Wood and Emily Baxer will lead the course, which costs Dhs9,000.
Lastly, James & Alex Dance Studios (04 447 0773) is giving aspiring dancers the chance to perform on stage with 12-week courses in salsa, tango contemporary and ballet. They’re taking enrolments until Saturday April 5. Dancers will perform at Meydan Racecourse in June as part of the studio’s showcase.
