The 2014 FIFA World Cup is underway, so have you noticed colleagues calling in sick? According to a poll of 18,000 professionals in the Middle East by online job agency Gulf Talent, three percent (540 respondents) planned to call in sick the day after a late-night match, while ten percent said they would arrive to work late in order to catch up on sleep.
