A new mall, rent designer dresses and get styled in your own home

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

Looking for something new to do during Ramadan? A brand new mall has just opened on Al Wasl Road, where boutiques including Valleydez (04 321 2898) and jewellery-themed S*uce Rocks are setting up shop. Galleria Mall (no number yet) is located right next to Citywalk and is a low-rise complex much like its elegant neighbour.

Meanwhile, we’re a little bit excited about new local online concept Designer-24 (www.designer-24.com), which enables customers to rent the latest designer dresses, straight from the runway, without making a full commitment to purchase them. The collection includes pieces from big names including Marchese Couture and Herve Leroux, as well as regional designer.

Lastly, Dubai-based gents set on sartorial stardom should get acquainted with new online styling service Mr Draper (www.mrdraper.ae). Following a brief on the customer’s budget, style and preferences, a stylist ships a package of personalised outfits right to your door. Men can try on the clothes and have five days to decide what they want to keep or return. The styling and delivery are free, all you pay for are the threads.
