JBR congestion continues

After years of roadworks and excruciating congestion, residents of JBR are now on the home stretch to a smoother flow of traffic

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

After years of roadworks and excruciating congestion, residents of JBR are now on the home stretch to a smoother flow of traffic. Unfortunately, it seems things have to get worse before they get better, as the RTA has revealed what it calls the ‘last traffic diversion’ in the area as it completes works on the Dubai Tram. Re-routing has already begun on Al Sufouh Road, and vehicles will have to use service lanes instead of normal roads, with both directions reduced in parts to a single lane of traffic along the length of the beachfront development. The latest diversions are expected to end on Saturday September 20.
