This week: a styling course, Shweta Wahi in Dubai and a new interiors concept.

Sterling news for aspiring stylists and personal shoppers looking to improve their fashion credentials. Dubai-based stylist Kelly Lundberg (050 396 2296) is launching an interactive three-day styling course in October.

Previously only offered online, The 7-Step Styling Formula sessions outline how to turn a hobby into a business, marketing your personal brand and will include practical styling sessions. Taking place at The Boulevard Plaza in Downtown Dubai, the course kicks off on Sunday October 19 from 9.30am to 4.30pm and costs a rather pricey Dhs5,500.

Meanwhile, Indian label Shweta Wahi is now available in Dubai for the first time at multi-brand boutique Valleydez (04 324 2883). Having finished her schooling in Dubai, Shweta Wahi attended Central Saint Martins in London before basing herself in Toronto. Her designs are South Asian-influenced and include contemporary harem pants and sari-style crop tops in silk and lace embroidery.

Lastly, swish new concept store En Vogue (04 340 0559), pictured below, has swung open its doors on Jumeirah Beach Road. Pick up exclusive home furnishings, antiques and home accessories from international brands including Kravet, Lee Jofa, Brunshwig & Fils and Barbara Barry.
