The official line-up for the Virgin Radio RedFest DXB has been confirmed, with Irish band The Script headlining on Thursday February 12, 2015. Their fourth album ‘No Sound Without Silence’ along with the ultra-catchy first single ‘Superheroes’ is just the latest global success for the band, who since 2008 have sold over 20-million records. Other headliners confirmed include Australian rap sensation lggy Azalea, the voice behind world number one hit ‘Fancy’, who will be performing on Friday February 13, 2015.

Iggy’s debut album, The New Classic, was released in 2014, while ‘Fancy’ (featuring Charli XCX). has since become her most successful to date, having reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Breakout star Kiesza will also take to the stage.

Grammy award-winning DJ Jazzy Jeff will return to Barasti beach for a Halloween Zombie Fest on Friday October 31, but the question is, will he bring Will Smith along again?

Rumour has it that British singer Lily Allen is set to perform in Dubai before the year is out, however a venue and date have yet to be confirmed. Watch this space.

Two new bars have opened on Dubai’s nightlife scene. Level 43 Sky Lounge at the Four Points by Sheraton is now welcoming guests, as is 24Bar7 at the Grand Excelsior Hotel in Al Barsha. Headline acts for Sensation Dubai on October 31 include five of the world’s best DJ’s; Mr White, Hard Rock Sofa, Roger Sanchez, Martin Garrix and DJ’s AN21 and Max Vangeli. British DJ Chicane will perform live at Zero Gravity on Friday November 28 for a night of electronic dance music.
