Dubai market reopens

Hamriya market opened its doors once again this Friday with emiratis and expats visiting in their droves

Dubai Municipality reopened its Friday Market at the courtyard of Hamriya Central Market in Abu Hail this weekend.

The market had stopped its activities in summer after the temperature and humidity levels got too much. But now visitors are returning in their droves to enjoy the well-priced goods and fun weekend atmosphere.

Everything from furnishings to food is sold, including fresh fruit and vegetables, well below supermarket prices. The municipality monitors the products sold in the market, especially the food items, to ensure safety of consumers and to prevent over-charging.

The market, which will continue until June 31, is open from 3pm to 11pm on Fridays.
