Celebration of books and storytelling coming to Dubai in March

Tickets for the seventh Emirates Airline Festival of Literature are now on sale, opening up five action-packed days of literary celebration. Taking place in Dubai from Tuesday March 3 to Saturday 7, the festival will this year host more than 130 top authors from around the world, and in excess of 200 sessions and workshops. Highlights on this year’s calendar include a preview of the Festival on Saturday February 28 with British comedian and children’s author David Walliams speaking about his books and career, and later the opening ceremony featuring Naif Al-Mutawa, Jason Kouchak, James Mayhew and the Handspring Puppets Co, who will be presenting life-size horse puppets from War Horse. Desert Stanzas and The Murder Mystery Dinner both return, while new for 2015 is a graphic novel strand, with well-known novelists sharing the inspiration behind their stories.
