Zero Gravity continues to impress with news of a February line-up of DJ talent coming to the city.
From returning international residencies and dance music legends to critically-acclaimed DJs and up-and-coming studio talent there is plenty to look forward to.
Mr. Scruff will be bringing his bizarre and brilliant mash-up of funk, breaks, disco jazz, reggae and anything else he can think of to a five hour set on February 27.
Before then music-lovers and clubbers will be treated to Tom Staar, Norman Jay, Prok & Fitch, Chicane, Krafty Kuts Graeme Park and Allister Whitehead.
The performers will be divided between Zero Gravity’s Thursday night house night, Velocity and the day-to-night clubbing experience Aurora every Friday.
Thursday February 5: Tipped as the next big thing in the Dance Music studio, Tom Staar is a groove-loving DJ likely to bring serious dance music to Velocity’s musically-literate crowd.
Friday February 6: Norman Jay is not only a regularly returning Dubai favourite but also one of the most respected DJs in the world. The MBE-honoured DJ will provide a soundtrack including funk, soul, jazz and ska.
Thursday February 12: A house-music spanning journey will move from the darker edges of the genre through to mainstream floorfilling and back again when Prok & Fitch take to the decks.
Friday February 13: International resident Chicane’s appearances at the ground-breaking day-to-night sets at Aurora are already changing the face of Dubai clubbing.
Thursday February 19: Musical mash-ups and genre-skipping beats from Krafty Kuts and A.Skillz.
Friday February 20: A Journey Through House at Aurora as local DJs Grant Collins, Nick Hussey and John Beasant warm up for legends Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead and John Kelly.
Thursday February 27: A five hour set from the quirky DJ/producer, Mr Scruff will be an unpredictable and brilliant end to the month.
Entry to Zero Gravity for Velocity and Aurora nights is free before 10pm and Dhs100 thereafter. Keep an eye on @timeoutdubai and @ZeroGravityDXB for more information.
