World number one golfer Rory McIlroy sealed victory at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday, his second win at the Emirates Golf Club.

The Northern Irishman shot a final round 70 to finish three shots ahead of Sweden's Alexander Noren, with defending champion Stephen Gallacher in third, a further three shots back.

The Desert Classic holds special memories for McIlroy because it was the first European Tour victory he picked up six years ago.

McIlroy heads to Dublin on Monday for a High Court date to settle a long-running dispute with his former management company but that seemed the furthest thing from his mind.
