Juliana Down is to open for Thirty Seconds to Mars when the band plays Dubai 10 April.

The UAE group – which features Dia Hassan on lead vocals and guitar, plus Sari Ramadan on lead guitar, James Sinclair on the drums and Andrew Gibson on bass - has announced they’ll be the support act for the highly anticipated gig at the World Trade Centre Arena.

“It's an honour to open for Thirty Seconds to Mars and represent the UAE. I hope we can be an inspiration to our fans. This event is going to be one of our greatest performances to date, and fans should get ready to rock out at DWTC,” Dia said about the news on Monday.

The band teased the news last week by posting on their Facebook page: “30 seconds to Dubai! Keep watching this space.’

They added after the secret was out: “Girls and boys! We are very excited to announce that we'll be sharing the stage with 30 Seconds to Mars in Dubai on April 10th ... Grab your tickets before they run out and see all you beautiful people there!”
Award-winning act Juliana Down has lead the alternative rock genre for the last decade in the Middle East.

MEFCC takes place at the same venue for three days from 9-11 April. The event will be hosted by Virgin Radio’s Kris Fade, Rossi and others from the Virgin Team.
