Celebrated photographer Steve McCurry will be displaying his work at an exhibition in Dubai

Knowledge story, The Knowledge

From next month, the Empty Quarter gallery will be displaying the 7 princesses exhibition by iconic and award-winning international photographer Steve McCurry.

It’s the first collaborative body of work between the display space and Steve McCurry, who photographed within the seven Emirates of the UAE.

The event will be his second solo show with the gallery. 7 Princesses will open at the public gallery from the 16 March to 16 April, inside the Dubai International Financial Center on Sheikh Zayed Road.

The 64-year-old has created stunning images over six continents and countless countries, in a career that spans more than 30 years. He’s work has been on scores of magazine and book covers, he’s had over a dozen books himself, and countless exhibitions around the world to his name.

The artist’s work covers conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions and contemporary culture alike - yet always retains the human element that made his celebrated photograph of the Afghan Girl on the cover of National Geographic, such a powerful image.
