Spandau Ballet is coming back to Dubai.

Known as one of Britain’s iconic bands, the men will bring their Soul Boys of the Western World tour to the Dubai World Trade Centre on Thursday September 17.

In the latter part of 2014, the group - which consists of Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp, Steve Norman, John Keeble and Martin Kemp - released the critically lauded film of the same name documenting their story as well as a greatest hits collection titled The Story.

The album includes three fresh tracks with the help of legendary record producer Trevor Horn, so fans can expect to hear the new tunes including This Is The Love and the forthcoming single Steal.

“Spandau Ballet are one of the great iconic bands of the 1980’s, yet these guys still retain their youthful swagger when on stage,” Thomas Ovesen, Chief Operating Officer of Done Events said. “People still talk about their amazing 2010 Dubai show, where together with Rod Stewart they sold out the 20,000 capacity Sevens Stadium.

“With strictly limited venue capacity this time around, we urge fans not to miss out and to guarantee their tickets by registering for the pre-sale.”

The band have sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the world since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. Being a part of the iconic Blitz Club scene in London’s Soho saw the band establish themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s. After an acrimonious split and two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour – which included a date at Dubai’s Sevens Stadium.

They keep adding dates to their busy summer as they’ve recently announced plans to play a woodland gig at Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire England in July. Spandau Ballet have also confirmed they’ll be a part of Suffolk’s Newmarket Nights.

Tickets are priced from Dhs350 will be available from Sunday April 12. To guarantee tickets to this intimate gig, fan can pre-register for tickets from today at
